Last week, we have heard a very nice story about Jason Kidd while he was mentoring Jeremy Lin. However, this week wasn’t a good week for the NBA superstar after all when he was arrested on a drunken-driving charge in Hamptons.

This has been a very bacd week for the team because aside from Kidd’s arrest, Lin’s departure from New York for a “ridiculous contract” in Houston became even more realistic, and a position of strength was one of turbulence for the Knicks. We just don’t know how they will be able to surpass all these but I just hope they will.

Kidd’s arrest came into news within hours of the Knicks agreeing to a trade for fellow point guard Raymond Felton, raising the possibility they will refuse to match Lin’s offer sheet with the Rockets. According to the police report presented, they said that Kidd crashed his SUV into telephone pole in the Hamptons last Sunday. This happened just days after signing with the New York Knicks.

The Knicks was probbaly disappointed with his action but they can’t do anything about it because the damage was already done. He suffered minor injuries and he was brought and treated at a hospital after the crash. The Southampton Town police said that Kidd was arraigned on a misdemeanor driving-while-intoxicated charge, however, he was released from jail without bail.

Kidd left no comment on what happened but his attorney, Ed Burke Jr., said in a statement that Kidd was returning from a charity function before the accident happened and he had pleaded not guilty to the DWI charge and was awaiting for further court proceedings.
