Christmas is fast approaching and we can definitely feel the Christmas spirit almost everywhere as we hear church choirs singing Christmas carols, kids getting their wish lists for Santa ready, and all sorts of preparations that you may think. Christmas is definitely the time of joy in the year and Santa is one of the most significant persons remembered during Christmas. Santa Claus makes people happy, most especially the kids as they are believed to deliver presents during Christmas Eve. As a parent, all you wanted is for your kids to be happy this Christmas by making them believe that Santa is on his way to deliver their presents. But how will the kids make sure that Santa received their wishes? Here is a list of the possible ways on how kids can digitally connect with Santa.
The first suggestion is to make a “portable north pole”. This application will help you to be able to send your daughter, son, niece or nephew a personalized message from Santa while he is preparing for his Christmas Eve flight around the world in North Pole. Surely this message will take their worries away and will excite them even more.
In the digital era, Santa Claus is more connected than ever. But we are still imagining a typical Santa Claus who walks inside the house through the chimney and leaves the gifts while the children are still asleep.

Social TV Ratings is essential for every television network, especially for those who have the same airing dates, the same genre of a television show, and the same broadcast schedule. The Social TV ratings determine which show gets most of the views and which shows don’t. With this, two of the world’s online and television social networking companies have decided to merge and put up a great idea of publishing the newest Social TV ratings not just nationwide, but most especially worldwide.
Nielsen Holdings NV, the television viewership measurement company, have announced last Monday that it is going to partner with Twitter in publishing a new set of ratings that will measure chatter on twitter about TV programming. This one is going to be beneficial both for the companies and the television viewers as well.
The new measurement, the one they dubbed as the “Nielsen Twitter TV rating,” seeks to tap into the stream of viewer commentary and armchair musings generated on “second screens”. The new ratings, the ones that are to be launched next fall, will arrive at a moment when media and advertising industry executives say they are observing a shift in TV viewing habits that include the rise of the use of “second screens”. However, there are still questions buzzing around and questions given by the advertisers which remain unanswered. The most common question that comes it is over how to best interpret the data and whether a Twitter ratings system is meaningful at all. We’ll just see about that!

It was during last Friday when Wal-Mart Inc said that it has started selling Apple Inc’s flagship iPhone 5 smartphone at a big discount in thousands of their stores nationwide.
Can you imagine how much cost you can buy Apple’s iPhone 5 because of their discount? Wal-Mart is just selling it now for $127. Yes, believe it or not, the original price of the 16GB Apple iPhone 5 which is $189.97 has marked down to $127, with almost 33-34% of big discount. The retailer also added that the price is also valid with a two-year contract from wireless carriers such as Verizon, Sprint and AT&T.

As the first ballot returns were released, four names emerged and led the tally of votes in the 2013 All-Star Game vote. It was Thursday when the National Basketball Association, or NBA, announced the first returns in the fan vote for the 2013 NBA All-Star game and obviously, the results will not shock the NBA fans because once again, the two famous NBA players LeBron James of Miami Heat and Kobe Bryant of the Los Angeles Lakers stood above their peers as the leading vote-getters in their respective conferences at present.
Though they led in the fan votes, some famous NBA players also prove their best during the game and joining James in leading the race to start in the frontcourt are Carmelo Anthony of the NY Knicks who has received 573, 112 votes, and Kevin Garnett of the Boston Celtics who received 218, 246 votes. In the meantime, Dwayne Wade, LeBron James teammate got 430, 925 vote while Garnett’s buddy Raion Rondo got 382, 613 votes and both of them are in line to start in the backcourt. Meanwhile, the Oklahoma City thunder star player Kevin Durant who garnered 605,965 points all in all is in line for the third place.
As far as I can see the results, I have been thinking that some of the NBA stars will probably have a hard time trying to prove that their fans were not wrong in voting for them so watch out for their probably intensified performances in the court in the next season of NBA.

Apple is once again faces another court battle but this time, it is against Amazon. However, looks like Apple Inc is having a hard time in winning most of their claims because in the most recent result about the EU e-book pricing battle against Amazon, the Amazon won the battle.
It was on Thursday when the regulators of the European Union ended an antitrust probe into e-book prices, resulting to the acceptance of the offer made by Apple and four other publishers. The purpose of this is to ease pricing restrictions on Amazon and other retailers.
The decision which came out last Thursday gave Amazon, an online retailer, the chance to sell e-books cheaper than rivals in fast-growing market publishers in the hopes that it will boost revenue and customer numbers. If you can still remember, it was last November when Reuters reporter that the Commission was accepting the settlement offer.
On Thursday, the European Commission said that the concessions from Apple and the publishers soothed concerns that their piercing deals curbed competition.
“The commitments proposed by Apple and the four publishers will restore normal competitive conditions in this new and fast-moving market, to the benefit of the buyers and readers of e-books,” Joaquin Almunia, the Competition Commissioner of European Commission, said. Apple and the rest of the publishers offered to let retailers set prices or discounts for a period of two years, and also suspend “most-favored nation” contracts for years.

Ever since he left about ten years ago, Kliff Kingsbury is glad to be finally back to Lubbock when he was hired as the new Coach for Texas Tech.
He seems very excited to be part of the team and his excitement is pretty obvious that he already plotted his plans for the team. As a matter of fact, due to his too much excitement, he already prepared himself for the upcoming challenges late last week by watching a film that he believes could help him prepare the team for Texas A&M’s game against Oklahoma in the Cotton Bowl and getting ready to accompany Aggies quarterback Johnny Manziel to New York, where he became the first freshman ever to win the Heisman Trophy.
Tommy Tuberville left Texas Tech after three seasons of being the coach of the team, and this made the Texas tech job open for the former Red Raiders Quarterback. The following day after the Texas Tech job became open, the athletic director of the team, Kirby Hocutt, talked to Kingsubry about the job twice.
“It’s just been a whirlwind but I couldn’t be happier, beyond ecstatic to be back. It feels like home,” Kingsbury said after landing in Lubbock last Wednesday night. “This is where I wanted to be, it’s where I’ve wanted to be.”

This was indeed a great marketing strategy when they thought of having some more financial help from some of the world’s huge entertainment companies.
Warner Bros Entertainment Inc and MGM Studios Inc have joined forces to invest an undisclosed amount in the privately-held, social and mobile gaming company, Kabam Inc. This information came from the game maker itself and that statement came out just this Tuesday.

Majority of the world’s boxing fans really had their jaws dropped when Manny Pacquiao dropped flat on the floor of the ring on the sixth round of his fight with Marquez and it was really shocking. It was the most unexpected thing that could happen because never in history was Pacquiao knocked out by hi opponents, not event Marquez in their first three fights. Because of what happened, no one can protest then about Marquez’s victory.
The bloody fight ended in the sixth round with just a perfect punch given by Juan Manuel Marquez to Pacquiao. Obviously, the two legendary boxers gave their all in this fight. He called in “the perfect punch” because it destroyed Pacman in a wink of an eye, in a second, Pacquiao was then on the floor for more than a minute that the Mexican fighter along with his screaming fans celebrated the victory. Pacquiao didn’t expect that punch coming and it was certainly obvious that Marquez prepared a lot for this fight.
One of the speculations as to why Pacquiao was defeated by Marquez is because of Pacquiao’s lack of conditioning and overconfidence. Pacquiao also lacked motivation because he has already garnered eight division titles, giving him the confidence that he will win the fight no matter what happens. In the past few years, Pacquiao also had divided passion and priorities since he already entered the politics and he was also hosting television shows of his own way back in the Philippines. After what happened, do you think they will push through a Pacquiao vs Marquez 5?

China is a country known for closely imitating different kinds of stuff starting from toys, gadgets, computers and mobile phones and it was not actually surprising that they have made or built a mini version of US’s famous company of Apple.
In the latest technology update, it was found out that Xiaomi Technology of China is seemingly a fairy tale for nerdy entrepreneurs. After it was founded just three years ago, the smartphone maker has already reached the value of $4 billion and it even evoked Apple-like adoration from its fans, and as a matter of fact, some even became desperate enough to skip work for a shot at buying the latest product the day it goes on sale.
In what ways do they look the same? Say for instance the way founder Lei Jun dresses, he has the same style with the late Steve Jobs by wearing jeans with a black top. He has also created a fervent fan base for Xiaomi’s moderately priced high-end smartphones by mimicking Apple Inc’s marketing tactic of attaching an aura of exclusivity around its products.
“We’re not a company that chases sales volume,” Lei said. “We chase customer satisfaction. We look for ways to give the customer a great surprise.” I just don’t if they are also going to be sued by Apple with this kind of tactic.
