Update: Donaire vs Narvaez undercard fight and official weigh-in updated below.
I believe that Nonito “The Flash” Donaire can follow the footstep of the popular Filipino boxer Manny “PACMAN” Pacquiao and I’ve heard from the news that Nonito Donaire announced his possible upcoming fight against the undefeated boxer from Argentina named Omar Andres Narvaez on October 22, 2011. He said this in an interview with ABS-CBN, a local news/entertainment network in the Philippines when he visited the country to finalize his November 2011 church wedding with wife Rachel Donaire.
The last time that I saw Donaire fight was the boxing event with Fernando Montiel where he demolished the latter with a tremendous and impressive result.
In the interview with Dyan Castillejo of ABS-CBN, he said that he is excited already of the Donaire vs. Narvaez fight and believes that Narvez fight will be a tough game for him but he likes the challenge of giving 1 lost to undefeated fighter like Narvaez.
The 36-year old Omar Andres Narvaez got 35 wins with 19 KOs, zero lost and 2 draws and currently the WBO Junior Bantamweight champion. What is at stake on this boxing event is the WBC and WBO bantamweight titles. For the venue, there’s no specific details about this yet.
This post will be updated for additional details of this Nonito Donaire vs. Omar Andres Narvaez fight on October 22, 2011.
The following shows the video feed of the official weigh-in of Nonito Donaire and Omar Narvaez at the Peyton Room of the Affinia Hotel. In this episode, 116.4lbs is the official weight of the Filipino boxer which is lower than expected. Check the video for the rest of the details of this event.
