The Canadian freestyle kier Sarah Burke was badly injured during one of her practice and what’s the worst news that we heard is when she experienced a cardiac arrest right after her training accident last week. That was based on the tests done by the hospital staff after they confirmed Burke’s condition last Monday. The news report said that the 29-yearskier had been resuscitated at the superpipe where she was practicing in Park City Mountain Resort right after her accident.
“It is my understanding that Sarah went into cardiac arrest prior to being airlifted to University of Utah Hospital. She was resuscitated, but I am not aware how long she was in arrest or who resuscitated her,” the spokesman for the University of Utah’s Neurosciences Center Dennis Scott Jolley said. “Sarah’s care team is currently conducting a number of tests to evaluate her condition, and additional tests will continue in the coming days,” he added.
For the meantime, Burke’s family has cancelled the press conference which is supposedly scheduled on Monday afternoon in Utah to wait for the results of the other medical tests. As of now, they have said that Burke is still under coma and no one can tell when she will wake up. Right now, Sarah Burke has remained in critical condition while being treated in the university’s Clinical Neurosciences Center in Salt Lake City. All we have to do is to pray and wait for her fast recovery.
