On HBO just last Saturday, we have seen how two of the world’s legendary boxers are preparing for their upcoming fourth fight in the Pacquiao vs Marquez 4 27/7 Episode 3. During the night of the episode 3’s debut, we can already sense the fourth big fight is about to happen soon and it is only a week away for us to wait for the time to watch Pacquiao vs Marquez fight.
This episode three, as usual, started with a recap from the previous episode of the Pacquiao vs Marquez series. We’ve got a quick rewind to the press tour and the time off for each man before they got started with their intensive training camps. Pacquiao is in Los Angeles while Marquez is at Mexico. Pacquiao arrived in L.A and is at the Wild Card gym now. He arrived six weeks before the fight night and he arrived in perfect shape, with Freddie Roach being happy about it.
However, Roach seems to be a little bit worried about Pacquiao’s performances which he sees dropping off. He tried to change things up and he has always given the sparring partners the famous $1,000 bonus for knocking down Pacquiao. But right now, he seems to have changed his strategy as he is now giving Pacquiao a bonus for knocking down his sparring partners.
Meanwhile, heaving to the Training camp of team Marquez in Mexico, the team is trying new things and they are pressing very hard just like team Pacquiao. The team has decided that their sparring sessions are absolutely closed in terms of cameras, to keep the other side from getting any additional insight. Marquez then leaves the gym and goes to receive a “cupping therapy”. Suction cups were applied to his back with a system that is supposed to induce recovery and healing. And it seems to work. One last episode and then we are off to watch Pacquiao vs Marquez 4 Fight Live on December 8, 2012 at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas.

The first episode of this year’s 24/7 series began with the legendary promoter Bob Arum explaining that all great rivalries featured evenly matched fighters in very close fights. They showed great rivalries such as Ali-Frazier to back up his theory, and it seemed to have worked. The episode then goes into fine detail of each of their first three fights and the historical background of each one. Let’s just see more of their preparations on next week’s episode of the HBO 24/7 Series.
